Florida (this place again?) - Kenneth Burton Alleshouse was arrested yesterday (10th November) for driving erratically. He was found on the highway with a case of beer and rolling along his red Snapper mower when police decided to pull him over.
Police said they noticed an overwhelming smell of alcohol (also the eighteen beers under his arm) and decided to take action. A quick breathalyser test revealed that Kenneth was three times over the legal limit and so the police decided to bring him in. He is currently awaiting trial for the charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
Fascinatingly, some Floridian citizens have come to Kenneth’s defence!
“It's a lawnmower for God's sake. Who cares whether a drunk is riding a lawn mower regardless of where he's riding it. I work in Port St. Lucie and this is the first time I'm hearing of this. It couldn't have been too much of a spectacle or it would have been reported locally...not to mention that there are sidewalks the entire length of US 1 in PSL,” writes one angry commenter called MrKimber.
“Just give us a list of things we can do drunk...” writes another called mutantsubhuman.
Perhaps we’re just being silly, but we’re pretty sure operating any motorised machine on a highway while hammered is probably not a good idea.
Strangely enough this is not the only strange DUI given by Florida police this month. On the 2nd November the police also arrested a woman for drunkenly riding a horse on the highway.
