Japanese police were called to a bathhouse on Wednesday after some of the women complained to management about a peculiar customer. Suspicions were raised when one of the women entered the communal bath with a towel still wrapped around their lower waist. Something we can all agree is super weird to do any body of water, let alone a public bath. The person in question was 5’9, very fat, and of a large build and was sitting quietly in a corner watching the other women who, by the way, were all changing in and out of clothes and just generally being women at a bathhouse.
You can probably guess the following but that person turned out to be a 50-year-old man wearing makeup and a bob-cut wig.
Police were quickly called to remove the man given that the other women present were deeply concerned about the peeping-tom. As the man was arrested it’s reported that he shouted in a high pitched falsetto voice “I am a woman” over and over again. The man himself has since confirmed the allegations saying,
“I did it because the men’s bath is dirty so I feel more at ease in the women’s bath.”
He’s not wrong, men are disgusting. But we really ought to be disgusting together, and not force our disgustingness on women. Even if that means sticking to the bathhouses filled with hairy man-boobs and eggy farts.
