A 60-year-old woman from Wisconsin has been charged with the murders of her own son and two other babies in her care more than 30 years ago. Nancy Moronez killed the children between 1980 and 1985 I’m a spate of cruel murders and managed to get away with it for decades before police finally investigated a criminal complaint. Mrs Moronez initially told the police her two week old son had drowned in the bath back in March 1980 and police had assumed all three children had passed away from the same sudden infant death syndrome.
When finally properly investigated by the police, Nancy admitted suffocating a six-month-old boy she was babysitting in 1984 and a two-month-old girl left in her care just a year later. The truth finally came to light in 2015 when Moronez’s own daughter turned her in, telling officers her mother had confessed to the murder of her brother some 30 years ago which prompted an investigation into the connections between the deaths. Prosecutors say Moronez told a detective she had killed her own child and the two others, saying that she "can't take kids that constantly cry".
Nancy Moronez is said to have given her crying child a bath and held him in the water until he was dead, but it’s unclear how the other two children passed. She faces three counts of murder and is now in custody, according to records at the Milwaukee County Sheriff's office.
