Daniel Craig might have signed on to one more Bond film, but could his successor be a musician?
You might know Harry Styles as a former member of chart topping boyband 'One Direction' or you might know him from his well-received performance in critically acclaimed war drama 'Dunkirk'. You probably don't recognise him for his action-flick chops but he's been tipped to be the next Bond by a franchise boss nonetheless. Spectre editor Lee Smith is on record speaking to the Daily Star about the possibility, saying:
"Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it. Harry is really good and he can go all the way. He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera. You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience [on the set of Dunkirk]. You would never know that was his first film. If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future."
The next film in the James Bond franchise, 'Bond 25', is set to be released in November of next year and plot details have been closely guarded. Despite this, a source leaked information late last year that might excited die-hard Bond fans with its links to 1969 film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. The source confessed that "Bond quits the secret service, and he's in love and gets married but he will return to the secret service after his wife is killed.". Lea Seydoux's character, Madeleine Swann, was a big hit with fans and clearly Bond himself because the pair are set to tie the know before her untimely demise.
Daniel Craig has made it clear he won't be returning after the next film, citing "wanting to leave on a high note" after clocking in five films as the hero in the third highest number of the films. Rumours have been swirling about who could take over the coveted role. Names have ranged from Idris Elba to Tom Hiddleston, and the best odds can currently be found on young up and coming British actor James Norton.
