A Florida woman has filed an official complaint to the state’s department of health alleging that her dentist behaved in an extremely unprofessionally way. The St Johns County dentist has been accused of offering the woman a foot massage and red wine during one of her visits. An experience so bizarre it prompted the woman, named Stacey Wellington, to text her husband the following:
“Oh my God he just offered me a foot massage and red wine.”
“That is not a dentist office,” he replied.
But, in an even weirder twist the woman alleges that the dentist didn’t change his gloves after massaging her feet, and instead went ahead and worked on her teeth. Days afterwards she continued to experience toothache and pain and when she went to the hospital and health professionals gave her an x-ray she discovered she had an abscess in her tooth.
“He was giving me a foot massage I didn't see him change gloves so like your hands are in my mouth now my whole mouth is infected,” she told reporters.
The press has reached out to the dentist in question but have received no official response from his office. It’s not clear what will happen now the complaint has been filed; if it will result in any criminal charges, or possibly him losing his license, or just a slap on the wrist and a fine, but I know I certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable visiting this dentist knowing about his unprofessional behaviour.
In a similar case, on March 23rd a woman filed a complaint against a pre-natal chiropractor who she alleges molested her during her massage. She says she arrived at the clinic only to find a gynaecological table instead of a typical massage-chair, and after a cervical exam the man took her into a different room where he sexually assaulted her. She has since sought to have charges of assault and offensive physical contact amongst other things. The same chiropractor has had three prior charges of sexual assault, one count of sexual assault against a child, and one count of sexual indecency with a child.

A woman says her chiropractor molested her during a ‘prenatal massage.’ Now she’s suing. https://t.co/alpyxeomQ8
Which makes it astonishing he’s not in prison right now, let alone allowed to keep practicing as a chiropractor. a
