A Florida woman has attempted to pass off an excuse that can only be described as "possibly the worst ever" after she was arrested and charged with drug offences when she was found last month with cocaine in her possession. Kennecia Posey, aged 26, was a passenger in a car that was stopped after police noticed it swerving across lanes on March 21st.
Cocaine in purse? Woman blames it on a windy day, police say https://t.co/RzSsL7rcm9— 13WHAM (@13WHAM) April 9, 2018
As the officer approached the car he noticed that it smelled of marijuana, and a quick search of the vehicle revealed two separate baggies. One contained cannabis, the other contained cocaine. Posey admitted to possessing the cannabis but denied having anything to do with cocaine.
"I don't know anything about any cocaine," she said, according to the police report. "It's a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse."
Posey has since been charged with a felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanour count of marijuana possession. She has since been released on a bail bond, although it is currently unknown if she has a lawyer.
Hilariously the excuse she offered up doesn't even make much sense. If the cocaine was loose I think it might be possible, but the cocaine was bagged up which means that the wind would have had to throw a lump of the stuff around like a pebble. Out of all the wacky drug excuses this is by far the most far-fetched, and that includes the one where the woman tried claiming her methamphetamine was medicinal.
On the other hand it's not hard to guess where the creativity for her excuse came from, considering that Kennecia Posey and her friend were clearly baked out of their minds and swerving all over the roads like a pair of jackasses. Either way, we doubt anyone's falling for that one.
