Pictured above: 24-Year-Old Sean Sykes Jr. is facing charges of possession with intent to sell cocaine, alongside other federal crimes.
In a scene that sounds like it was ripped straight out Rick and Morty, a suspect managed to disrupt a police interview by answering one of his questions with a long and loud fart. The flippant response was so disruptive and frustrating to the interrogating detective that he decided to end the interview early.
In what has to be quite possibly the funniest thing ever written by an officer mid-interview, the detective wrote,
“Mr. Sykes leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart before answering with the address. Mr. Sykes continued to be flatulent and I ended the interview.”
Interestingly, charges were not filed at the time, even though Mr Sykes had been pulled over and found with an illegal firearm and crack cocaine. He must have thought he got away with it, possibly because of sheer fart-power, but he was actually pulled over again on November 5th and had more crack and more illegal guns.
Cue upcoming court case.
Still, he is personally responsible for one of the best headlines ever written.
What do you think? Would you pull this kind of thing? I think I’d give it a go but probably just end up sh*tting myself because that’s my sort of luck. And what would you do if you were the detective? Would you end the interview? Or just let one rip yourself? Fight fire with fire? Also there's no comment on the smell. Did this guy stop the interview because of the disrespect? Because it was too funny to keep a straight face? Or because of the smell? Let us know in the comments below!
