A hero Deliveroo driver has become a national icon for his commitment to delicious takeaway goodness after bodyboarding down a hill to get a Nando’s delivery to some hungry customer. The unnamed man was caught on camera in Lincoln wearing the standard Deliveroo uniform of skintight spandex blue get up sliding down a snowy street on his chest with his delivery strapped to his back and his bicycle helmet on, to make sure he’s not in any danger.
Gotta get that Nando's delivered somehow. Thanks to Esme in Lincoln for the video. #SNOWMAGGEDDON@esmeyep | @Deliveroo pic.twitter.com/Ceczi4ONXN

Apparently he shouted ‘got to get this Nando’s delivered’ before he took his brave leap into the snowy abyss, and fans have flocked to Twitter to comment what a legend he’s become. He’s being hailed as a hero for bringing food to people as much of Britain endures sub-zero temperatures and snow blizzards. Deliveroo drivers across the UK have been showing their commitment to their job in similar ways, with one even completing his orders on a snowboard. The man turned an otherwise treacherous hill into a snowy Glasgow playground as he carved his way down to finish his rounds.

A Deliveroo spokesman said: "With snow days popping up across the country, it's great to see Deliveroo's riders making the most of the weather - snowboarding, sledding or even skiing! However the safety of our riders is of paramount importance, and we urge them to stay safe during this extreme weather. We will continue to temporarily close operations in areas with red weather warnings."
