While us UK viewers are dying inside from the lack of an air-date we can at least take joy in the knowledge that the Big Bang Theory spinoff “Young Sheldon” has already been renewed for a second season.

So far, the show that focuses on Sheldon Cooper’s early life in Texas while dealing with conservative parents and a school life where he stands out like a sore thumb, has done well with good ratings and good reviews. And as The Big Bang reaches its twelfth season and cast members begin to argue over unequal pay, ego, and prior romantic histories, Young Sheldon has given Big Bang Theory fans the chance to keep on enjoying one of their favourite all time shows.

And now, UK fans can say with confidence that the ride will continue for at least another 40 episodes once Young Sheldon rolls out with not just one new season but two. Also, for the first time Channel 4 has finally revealed a rough release window for the show.
Young Sheldon has been airing in the US for a good month or two now but there’s been no such luck in the UK as British and European fans have been forced to sit around and wait while the show makes its way across the Atlantic. Well… that or find other less legal means of watching it.
