Yesterday at 4pm Ant McPartlin was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after he was involved a three vehicle collision. The accident, which also involved his mother, resulted in him being made to take a breathalyser test by the police which he failed. Afterwards he was taken into police custody and questioned. Ant, who was recently photographed returning to his home for the first time after the incident, crashed into the back of a mini containing a couple and their child. The three-year-old girl was taken to hospital for her injuries which were not life threatening and it has since been confirmed she is otherwise healthy and fine.

“I’m guessing there won’t be a Saturday night takeaway this week 😐 I really hope he’s ok but at the same time, drink driving? An absolutely stupid decision,” one user wrote.
“Does this mean Saturday Night Takeaway will be cancelled?” Another chimed in.
“And say hello to Stephen and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway,” added another.
Meanwhile Lorraine Kelly, another ITV presenter, stood up for Ant and said:
“Poor guy... a lot of people are speculating he won't be there for Saturday Night Takeaway. He will.” She later spoke about his professionalism and the chance of him leaving: “I'd be very surprised, he's such a worker. He's such a professional.”
