Olympic diver Tom Daley and his husband, Oscar-winning Director Dustin Lance Black, are expecting their first child. The couple took to Instagram on Valentines Day to announce the news in a series of cute, coupley images from a photoshoot of them cuddling ans holding scans of the baby. Tom's caption reads "A very happy #ValentinesDay from ours to yours. 👨👨👦", with the three emojis indicating the couple and what looks like a baby boy, suggesting the couple are looking forward to a son.
The couple married in a lavish wedding ceremony at Bovey Castle in Devon in May 2017 after a two year long engagement. Since tying the knot, Lance Black has moved to London to live full-time with his husband, who now own a home together. Daley is said to have performed for their wedding guests by standing at a balcony and reciting lines from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The couple have bought their first home together in London and have both settled down in the city, and were open about their long term plan to have children. Tom said "Lance and I definitely want a family in the future – who knows when? We're both lucky to have supportive families and we want to share that with our own children."
Though the announcement hasn't given away many clues about the baby, the couple uploaded the scan on February 14th and a scan is usually taken at either 12 or 20 weeks into a pregnancy. This could give a date range of between August and October 2018 for when we can expect the baby to arrive. We also don't know whether the couple are using a surrogate or have plans to adopt, but fans have suggested that the baby might be named Robert to honour Tom Daley's late father, who died of a brain tumour in 2011.
