It's been two years since One Direction went on their much-deserved hiatus, after five chart-topping albums and worldwide success. Zayn was the only member to technically 'leave', after struggling with the level of fame that accompanied their dizzying success and speaking out in his autobiography to say: "When I look back at images of myself from around November, 2014, before the final tour, I can see how ill I was. Something I’ve never talked about in public before, but which I have come to terms with since leaving the band, is that I was suffering from an eating disorder." Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis took the decision shortly after to work on their solo careers and have had varying levels of success since breaking out beyond the band. There's been speculation ever since about whether the band would ever get back together, and Liam has come through with some serious gossip.
German magazine Promiflash spoke to Liam in Berlin and grilled him on potential comeback plans, and he admitted: "I think it will happen sometime in the foreseeable future, we've already talked about it. We have the dream of this next big show and the stage we are currently in, and the success of everyone is so important to us to realise the show." Despite their solo careers the boys have stayed in contact and have spoken about the potential big reunion tour, with huge plans for arena tours and pageantry. Fans are speculating about whether Zayn would play any part in the eventual tour, because he has technically quit the band. Could we be looking at a Take That and Robbie type situation, where he comes back for one tour but that's it?
On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙
Liam was in Germany doing promotional work for his solo album, and recently celebrated the first birthday of his son Bear, who he shares with girlfriend Cheryl Cole. The couple have had a tumultuous relationship that has been spread across press headlines, and apparently almost broke up at several points over the last few months. After a 'make or break' holiday, the pair have decided to stay together for the time being and there's even some suggestion of a second child on the way. A source close to the couple spoke to Heat magazine to say: "Despite their issues, a part of her would love nothing more than to have another child as soon as possible - and she can't help but get a little gooey every time she sees cute little girl outfits." Liam denied the reports, telling press "It's not true. It's not happening. People just make up stories."
