A Queensland researcher, looking to answer the question once and for all, went through all the current research to identify the “norms” when it comes to how long sex lasts. What he found was that a surprising number of factors didn’t affect the length of time it took for couples to finish the horizontal jog.

Circumcision, use of a condom, and even country of origin didn’t make an impact. Well, actually, that’s not true. Men from Turkey came in a whopping 3.7 minutes shorter than everyone else but generally all the countries were roughly the same.
Researchers also revealed that there was a lot of variation in the time taken. Some couples took as little as 33 seconds while others went for as long as 44 minutes. This surprised the scientists but probably not… well, people. People have been having sex for a long time and it probably won’t surprise anyone to know that sometimes you can fit it in between commercial breaks of a good TV show, and other times you both finish feeling chafed, tired and in desperate need of a Capri Sun.

But at least the scientists have numbers now, right?
Anyway, the real thing most people don’t know is how long sex usually lasts. You know how long sex lasts for you, but how do you know what it’s like for everyone else? You can ask them but no guy is going to be honest and it’s not like girls sit there with a stopwatch, is it?

Well this study answered and it the genuine figure is 5.4 minutes (it’s not the mean just the median). So that’s a total of 5 minutes 24 seconds so guys remember next time you start pumping away you need to count to 324 mississippis.
Or you could just
