Chrissy Teigen, successful model, Mrs John Legend and mother of one, is no stranger to internet criticism. She’s an active social media personality on Twitter and Instagram, and talks quite openly about her life with her husband, her pregnancy and little baby Luna. ‘Concerned mothers’ online have been weighing in to let her know she carries her daughter in the wrong way and she should be ashamed of her use of IVF, and this weekend she posted a photo on Instagram of her at the top of a slide with her daughter in her lap.
Cute, right? Now any normal person would see this photo and think “nice, a mother and daughter on a slide” but some people saw it and thought “TAKE THIS CHILD FROM THIS WOMAN NOW”. Apparently letting your kid go down a slide in your lap can break their legs, and boy were people quick to let Chrissy know that fact. It seems like everyone knows someone who like, totally broke their kids legs this way and one woman even knows three whole families with children whose legs snapped like twigs in slide-based accidents.
Now our suspicion here is that these stories just plain didn’t happen, some people just saw this as a perfect opportunity to mom-splain to Teigen, and Chrissy was in agreement. She clapped back pretty quickly with a classic witty retort explaining that the messages came too late. She wrote “"Wish you guys would have told me about the leg thing earlier. They broke. Both of them. And everyone else's in the park broke too just from watching it happen. There are so many broken legs here (heads up photos are a one second moment in time, I was lifting her onto my lap)." and John hopped right on Instagram to like her quip. Moral of the story is, don’t come for Chrissy because she’ll end you
