Big Bang Theory has dominated TV ratings for years now but recently rumours have been swirling about the possibility of the show finally coming to an end. Not only are the cast some of the most highly paid stars but as the show’s popularity grew so too did their demands. Now Radar has broken a story about how a staff member on the show contacted them with claims that the star’s egos were rapidly growing and it was causing major friction.
“It’s no secret Kaley thinks of herself as the show’s big draw,” said one insider, speaking about Kaley Cuoco. And apparently this has caused some of the other cast to become disgruntled and unhappy. Jim Parsons is also meant to be another problem as he is also paid a whopping $27.5 million for his role as Sheldon, making him the highest paid TV star in the world. But, no matter how bad things get a show can normally survive these kinds of problems so long as the ratings are still there and the cash keeps on flowing.

Well, that’s a problem because the first half of season 11 absolutely tanked. From the first to second episode the series lost a whopping 4 million viewers and hit an all-time low of 13 million. That’s one hell of a drop!
Thankfully, after the mid-season hiatus Big Bang sprang back into life and is now the fourth most watched show on TV. That’s a good sign for now, but the drop off in the first half was very much real and must have caused a lot of sweating in the producers’ board room! Hopefully the second half of season 11 won’t see the same catastrophic fall, or else it might mean the end of one of TV’s favourite gang of nerds.
